1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Contact information, including your name, email address, and phone number.
• Waitlist and application information, business details, publishing goals, and service preferences.
• Public creator-profile information, including professional names, social handles, profile images, platforms, and follower counts.
• Footage, brand assets, references, instructions, feedback, and other content you submit for editing.
• Messages and support requests exchanged with Miso Edits or an assigned editor.

Payment and subscription information

Stripe processes payments, identifies customers, manages subscriptions, and provides customer-portal access. Miso Edits may receive your Stripe customer identifier, authoritative checkout email, plan, subscription status, transaction status, and limited billing details. Miso Edits does not receive or store your full payment-card number.

Information collected automatically

Hosting and security providers may process IP address, device and browser information, request timestamps, referring pages, and diagnostic logs when you use the website. This information is used to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

2. How we use information

• Provide, personalize, and improve editing services.
• Confirm payment, activate onboarding, and manage subscriptions.
• Match customers with editors and communicate about requests, timing, feedback, and delivery.
• Create and maintain project folders for footage and deliverables.
• Exercise Miso Edits’ service, ownership, licensing, promotional, and publicity rights, including by creating portfolios, showreels, case studies, sales materials, and organic or paid advertising using final edits and creator information as permitted by the Terms of Service.
• Manage waitlists and respond to applications, questions, billing issues, and support requests.
• Protect customers, editors, and infrastructure from fraud, abuse, and security threats.
• Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and contractual obligations.

3. How we share information

Miso Edits does not sell personal information for money. Miso Edits may use and share information for the operational, business, commercial, licensing, and promotional purposes described in this policy and the Terms of Service, including with:

• Assigned editors and service personnel who need access to fulfill your requests.
• Stripe for checkout, billing, customer identity, subscription status, and portal access.
• Resend for waitlist, onboarding, service, and internal notification emails.
• Google Drive for source footage, working materials, and deliverables.
• Railway and Cloudflare for website hosting, networking, delivery, security, and related logs.
• Editing and media-processing providers for production features such as editing, transcription, captioning, media processing, and AI-assisted tools selected for a project.
• Marketing and advertising providers that help Miso Edits prepare, distribute, or measure promotional materials permitted by the Terms of Service.
• Professional advisers or authorities when needed to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or complete a business transaction.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The website and its infrastructure may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for security, network management, checkout, and customer-portal access.

On our barber landing page, we use the Reddit Pixel and Conversions API unless you opt out of advertising tracking. It reports page visits and successful inquiries to help measure and improve our Reddit ads. Reddit may receive cookie and device identifiers, IP address, browser information, page and referrer URLs, event metadata, and conversion identifiers. For successful inquiries, our server also shares hashed email addresses and, when they can be normalized, hashed phone numbers to help match conversions to Reddit ads. Hashing does not make this information anonymous. We do not send the inquiry message or social handle as matching information.

You can turn off Reddit tracking using the "Opt out of ad tracking" button below "Plans from $19/week" in the footer of the barber page. We save your opt-out in browser storage and a cookie, and honor Global Privacy Control by keeping Pixel and server-side tracking off. We may save the Reddit ad click identifier for the browser tab's session to link an inquiry to the ad. Advertising tracking is optional and does not affect your ability to submit an inquiry. Turning it off stops future tracking; it does not retract information already sent. See Reddit's Privacy Policy for how Reddit uses the information it receives.

5. Content, storage, and retention

Customer footage and deliverables may be stored in Google Drive or other production tools while needed for editing, revisions, delivery, account administration, or promotional uses permitted by the Terms of Service. Miso Edits does not guarantee retention for any specific period. Files may be deleted during or after the working relationship, and you should maintain complete backups of all source files and promptly download final exports.

Contact, billing, communication, and transaction records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When information is no longer needed, Miso Edits will delete or de-identify it where reasonably practicable.

Unless TI Herman LLC separately agrees in writing, the service is not provided under a confidentiality or nondisclosure agreement, and submitted materials are not subject to special confidentiality restrictions beyond this policy, the Terms of Service, and applicable law. Miso Edits may access, use, process, and share submitted materials for the purposes described in those documents. Public promotional use and the related opt-out are governed by the Terms of Service.

6. Data security

Miso Edits uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information that is not needed for an editing request.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also unsubscribe from nonessential marketing messages using the link in the message. Service and billing communications may still be sent while your subscription is active.

You may opt out of future use of your final edits and creator information in Miso Edits’ portfolio, publicity, and advertising by emailing [email protected] from the email associated with your subscription. The prospective effect and timing of that opt-out are described in the Terms of Service.

To submit a privacy request, email [email protected]. Miso Edits may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request and may retain information where permitted or required by law.

8. International processing

Miso Edits and its providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Those countries may have different privacy laws. Where required, reasonable contractual or legal safeguards will be used for international transfers.

9. Children’s privacy

The service is not directed to children under 18, and Miso Edits does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact Miso Edits so it can be reviewed and deleted as appropriate.

10. Third-party links and services

The website may link to services operated by other companies. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one. Review the policies of Stripe, Google, and any other service before providing information directly to them.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the service or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will be revised when changes are posted. Material changes may also be communicated by email or through a prominent website notice.
